About Austin Real Estate Connection
Online since 1994, the Austin Real Estate Connection was the first real estate website in Austin, and has been featured in local papers, Time Magazine, and O'Reilly's Net Success, published in 1996. The owner of AREC is a licensed Texas Real Estate broker and an international consultant and trainer on real estate transactions via the Internet. Please view our current stats to see our traffic.
Special Membership Rates
Austin Real Estate Connection: The Austin Real Estate Connection is happy to welcome new members. Membership entitles you to a listing in our "membership" section, as well as the use of our database to post and maintain property ads. Membership options include:
Individual one-time advertiser: Individuals may add property in AREC at a flat rate of $35.00 per ad, which includes one photograph.
Individual agent membership: An individual agent may join AREC for $150.00 annually, paid upon joining. Individual members may post an unlimited number of ads, and an appropriately styled membership database record - including your photograph, specializations and contact information - serves as your home page. If you wish a different style of home page it is available at additional cost.
Price Break for Office membership for up to five agents: Annual membership in AREC is $350, and includes both a corporate home page with links to agent records and listings, and a listings page with unlimited listings. There are no maintenance fees. Certain conditions apply. Add $50 per agent after the first five.
NOTE: Any additions or modifications to home page are additional.
Photos:
All property ads include one photograph, if desired. There is no discount if you do not include a photo. Any additional photos or graphics incur a one-time charge of $5.00 each if sent to us by MIME-encoded e-mail in proper format and size: Either JPG or GIF, 72 dpi, maximum 350 pixels wide, and a compression level of 60 for JPGs. Maximum file size allowed is 30k. If we have to resize or reconfigure in any way to meet these specifications, an additional fee of $5.00 will be charged. Scanning services available at the rate of $10.00 per photo.
If you wish to add photos that we must scan, then mail or deliver the photos to our office along with your check to cover scanning costs. Label the back of the photo with the property ID# and the site name on the back. Photos will not be returned.

Print these forms out and return to us by fax with your signature and appropriate information. Or, contact Gary Anderson, Marketing V.P. at 512-346-9158.
Additional Rate Information
- Additional photos or graphic such as floorplans are $10.00 per scan.
- An additional text-only page is $100.00 to produce.
- Custom graphics - $90.00/hour design
- Custom photography is $350 per house
- All text, photos and graphics are supplied by customer
- Full page is equivalent to one 8.5 x 11.5 sheet of paper or one page down on the computer monitor of 640x480 14" monitor.
- All fees are payable one-half at the beginning of the project, with remainder upon completion unless quarterly maintenance fees apply.
- Ads are paid in full at time of placement
- Contract prices on an annual basis cannot be raised during the annual contract period. However, if additional custom requirements change the basis of the contract, then additional fees apply.
- All information given to us by customer becomes the property of Internet Media Works! and the Austin Real Estate Connection and will not be returned without special agreement.
- All materials produced by us and placed on the Internet via the WWW are copyrighted by Internet Media Works!
- We reserve the right to change prices at any time without notice. All fees are plus sales tax (for Texas customers when applicable) and are subject to late charges equal to 1.5% daily of unpaid balance.
